Dale Heinkel's Ag Article
In April the Freeport Journal-Standard debuted a weekly guest column series highlighting local agriculture and its economic significance. Contributors include area farmers, agribusiness professionals, educators and others with extensive agricultural knowledge and experience.
Citizens State Bank’s own Dale Heinkel was honored to author the first column for the series. A former Dairy Science major at the University of Illinois, Dale grew up on a dairy farm between Winslow and Lena. Dale’s ag experience includes managing his own family farm in Stephenson County for nearly a decade. He also served as a consultant with Illinois Valley Farm Business Farm Management, providing farmers with financial guidance for nearly 20 years. He is now a Loan Officer in the Agricultural Department at Citizens State Bank’s Freeport location.
