The Federal Trade Commission has launched a new website for identity theft victims. The website provides an interactive checklist to walk consumers through the recovery process and sample letters for disputing credit and debit card transactions and to alert credit bureaus. The website also provides advice for consumers who have been notified that their personal information was exposed in a data breach.
